You remain solely and fully responsible for all statutory compliance, submissions, and payments required by South African law. SimpleSlip accepts no liability for any penalties, interest, or legal consequences arising from non-compliance with any statutory obligations.

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account and using SimpleSlip, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of service
SimpleSlip is a payslip management tool designed for South African employers. It allows you to create, manage, and share payslips with your employees. SimpleSlip calculates UIF contributions but does not handle PAYE tax calculations, SDL submissions, or any other statutory filings.
You remain solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable South African labour and tax laws.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring the accuracy of the information you enter
- Obtaining consent from your employees to store their personal information
- Complying with POPIA when collecting and processing employee data
4. Acceptable use
You may not use SimpleSlip to:
- Create fraudulent or false payslips
- Store information about individuals without their consent
- Violate any applicable South African laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
5. Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly via PayFast. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice to registered users.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
SimpleSlip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that UIF calculations are always accurate. You should verify all calculations independently.
SimpleSlip is not a registered tax practitioner or accountant. Nothing in this service constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, SimpleSlip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to errors in payslip calculations, data loss, or penalties imposed by SARS or the Department of Labour.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of SimpleSlip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
